The Super Falcons’ first assistant coach, Justin Madugu is confident the national women’s team will qualify for the upcoming African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Morocco.

The Super Falcons have just one more hurdle to seal qualification with a two-legged ties against the Lady Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire starting a home game at the newly renovated MKO Abiola Stadium Abuja on 18th February with the reverse fixture on 23rd February at the Stade Robert Champroux Abidjan.

“The engagement against the Lady Elephants is a huge challenge for us ,” said Madugu who was recently drafted by the NFF along with Ann Chiejine to assist the team’s head coach Randy Waldrum.

He said; “Despite the rapid progress of other African teams, Nigeria still remains a household name as it would be unthinkable for the Super Falcons to miss AWCON and the opportunity to fight for a slot for the World Cup.
