Lily-Rose Depp recently opened up about her childhood memories growing up with her brother Jack and their famous parents—Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.
In a candid conversation with her long-time friend, actress Natalie Portman, for Interview Magazine, Lily-Rose shared some rare insights into her upbringing.
Her latest role in Nosferatu, a vampire film, has even earned her some “cool” points with her younger brother, Jack, who has mostly stayed out of the public eye.

“My brother used to dress up like Dracula for school,” she revealed.
Landing the role of Ellen Hutter in Nosferatu was a big deal for her, as it felt like a way to impress Jack, who had always been her childhood hero.
“If I get this part, my brother’s going to finally think I’m cool,” she said, adding that their sibling dynamic has shifted over time.
While she once thought he was the “cool” one, now she’s the one trying to get his attention, only to hear him say, “I’m busy.”
Gratitude for Her Parents’ Efforts
Lily-Rose also expressed immense gratitude toward her parents for giving her and Jack as “normal” a childhood as possible despite their unusual lifestyle.
Growing up on film sets and traveling constantly, she often wished for the stability of school friends, but now, as an adult, she recognizes the intentional efforts her parents made to ensure their children felt at home, no matter where they were.
“I’m so grateful for that,” Lily-Rose reflected, acknowledging that her parents’ hard work allowed them to have a rich and adventurous childhood.
Jack Depp’s Private Life
Unlike Lily-Rose, Jack has chosen to stay out of the limelight, and he hasn’t shown much interest in pursuing an acting career.
Back in 2014, Johnny Depp shared that Jack had always been more inclined toward drawing and music, with no apparent desire to follow in his father’s footsteps.
