Law & Order: Organized Crime crew member fatally shot outside series set in New York City

A 31-year-old member of the Law & Order: Organized Crime cast was shot and killed outside the New York City location where he oversaw parking enforcement.

The unidentified individual was slain in Brooklyn on Tuesday morning, the New York Police Department confirmed to Entertainment Weekly.

Around 5.15 in the morning, the victim was shot in the face and neck as the murderer opened the door of his car in the Greenpoint neighborhood.

According to EW, the male suspect was about 5’4″ tall, slim build, and was sporting a black hoodie and black jeans.

In the investigation, no one has been taken into custody.

NBC acknowledged that the casualty was a crew worker employed by the network in a statement to EW.

The news that one of our staff members had been murdered early this morning and had died as a result surprised and grieved us much, the statement said.

‘We are working with local law enforcement as they continue to investigate. Our hearts go out to his family and friends and we ask that you respect their privacy during this time.’
