Lagos State Government postpones Year 2022 BECE Resit to Thursday, 6th October, 2022

The Lagos State Government has rescheduled the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Resit for the year 2022 to Thursday, October 6, 2022 at all approved testing centres in the state.

According to a statement signed by the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, the postponement was essential to accommodate schools whose applicants for the Resit Examination had not yet been registered.

He thus urged Principals to take notice of the revised date and guaranteed that all impacted candidates are appropriately notified, emphasising that the Board does not desire to deny anybody the chance to sit the test.

While regrets any problems that may result from the postponement, Orunsolu requested the collaboration and understanding of all parties involved in order to conduct a successful exercise.

Before the delay, the BECE Resit was slated to take place on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
