The highly anticipated 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards are underway, hosted by Kristen Bell, and while the star-studded event promises to honor the year’s top films and TV shows, it’s the red carpet fashion that’s stealing the spotlight.
The event, set to air at 8pm EST and stream live on Netflix, has seen A-listers in all their glamour – but not everyone is winning with their fashion choices.
The Red Carpet Fashions That Didn’t Quite Work
The red carpet at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, has become the backdrop for some unforgettable (and not in a good way) outfit choices.
While many celebrities dazzled in elegant gowns, others missed the mark completely with bizarre ensembles that left fashion fans scratching their heads.
The Worst Dressed Moments of the Night
Leading the pack of fashion fails was Jamie Lee Curtis, who turned heads for all the wrong reasons in a black sparkly dress adorned with massive feathers around the chest and sleeves.
It’s safe to say this was one of the evening’s most questionable looks.
Close behind her was actress Ali Ahn, whose tiered dress came with an enormous piece of fur that looked more like a plant than a fashion statement.
Sasheer Zamata’s outfit didn’t fare any better, with a bizarrely patterned frock that seemed too chaotic and clashed in all the wrong ways.
More Outrageous Looks That Stunned for All the Wrong Reasons
Eleanor Matsuura, known for her role in The Day of the Jackal, showed up in a form-fitting lime green sheer gown that left her undergarments fully visible.
To top it off, she paired the look with bright green heels, ensuring her outfit caught everyone’s eye—though probably not in the way she intended.
Actress Banita Sandhu also found herself on the worst-dressed list, stepping onto the red carpet in an oddly-shaped metallic frock that didn’t flatter her figure.
TikTok star Anna Sitar made a bold but unsuccessful choice with an extremely low-cut, loose black gown that just didn’t seem to fit right.
The loose silhouette seemed awkward and ill-suited for the event.
Ruffles Everywhere
As for the ruffles, they were a recurring theme of the night, though not always a flattering one.
Actresses Monica Padman and Roxy Striar both showed up in gowns with over-the-top ruffles that raised eyebrows for all the wrong reasons.
It was definitely a night where fashion took some unexpected—and not entirely welcome—turns.
