Keira Knightley and her husband, James Righton, made a stylish appearance at Wimbledon on Friday, putting on a united front as they arrived hand-in-hand for one of the tournament’s biggest days.

Their public outing comes just three months after speculation about the state of their marriage dominated headlines.

The couple appeared relaxed and affectionate as they entered the All England Club ahead of a packed Centre Court schedule featuring Arthur Fery against Alexander Zverev, followed by world No. 1 Jannik Sinner taking on Novak Djokovic.

Public Appearance Follows Months of Marriage Speculation

Questions about the couple’s relationship first surfaced earlier this year after several changes drew public attention.

In February, official Companies House records showed that Knightley was using her maiden name rather than her married surname on company documents.

Around the same period, Righton was also photographed without his wedding ring.

The developments sparked widespread speculation that the pair could be experiencing difficulties in their marriage.

However, those rumours eased in April when both Knightley and Righton were seen once again wearing their wedding bands during a public outing.

Their latest Wimbledon appearance, complete with hand-holding and smiles, further reinforced the impression that the couple remain happily together.

Name Change Linked to Administrative Requirements

The change to Knightley’s official records was later clarified by her representatives, who explained it was purely an administrative matter rather than a reflection of her personal life.

Her name is now listed as Keira Christine Knightley on documents connected to her performing arts company, KCK Boo Ltd, which reported assets exceeding £11 million in its latest financial accounts.

According to her representatives, the update was made to comply with new identity verification requirements, ensuring company records matched the name shown on her official identification documents instead of her married surname.

Actress Previously Shared Thoughts on Changing Her Name

Knightley has spoken openly in the past about the idea of adopting her husband’s surname after their marriage.

During a previous interview in 2014, she admitted she had considered changing her passport but found the decision emotionally difficult once she saw the new name written down, ultimately deciding against making the switch.

Although company records were updated in 2021, the recent administrative changes only attracted public attention this year.

Elegant Fashion Choices Draw Attention

As always, the actress attracted attention with her polished Wimbledon style.

Knightley chose a sophisticated white Chanel pussybow midi dress, pairing the elegant look with strappy sandals, a white clutch bag and tortoiseshell sunglasses.

Righton, the former Klaxons musician, complemented her outfit in a light grey suit layered over a pale pink shirt, finishing the ensemble with cream Gucci loafers.

The couple, who share two daughters, Edie and Delilah, appeared comfortable and cheerful as they made their way through the famous tennis venue.

Celebrities Fill the Stands on Day 12

Knightley and Righton were among a host of high-profile guests attending the Championships.

Actors Richard E. Grant and Lesley Manville both attended wearing Ralph Lauren, with Manville choosing a double-breasted white dress while Grant opted for a pale blue suit.

Felicity Jones also arrived with her husband, filmmaker Charles Guard, dressed in a crisp white ensemble.

Fashion editor Anna Wintour made an eye-catching entrance in a patterned blue dress alongside filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, while designer Tom Ford was also spotted among the celebrity guests.

Hugh Laurie, Dustin Hoffman and his wife Lisa, Charlotte Olympia Dellal, Maxim Crewe, Rashida Jones, Ezra Koenig, Victoria Smurfit and Mia Armstrong were also in attendance, adding even more star power to the day’s action.

Wimbledon Continues to Blend Sport and Style

The Championships once again showcased their reputation for bringing together elite tennis and celebrity fashion.

Ralph Lauren, which has served as the Official Outfitter of Wimbledon since 2006, remained prominently represented throughout the grounds as many guests chose designs from the iconic fashion house.

With blockbuster matches on Centre Court and a crowd packed with familiar faces from film, television, music and fashion, Friday’s action highlighted why Wimbledon remains one of the summer’s most glamorous sporting events.
