Arthur Zwane, the coach of the Kaizer Chiefs, maintains that when it comes to the Amakhosi reconstruction, slow and steady wins the race.

Before the break, Kaizer Chiefs signed off with a close victory against SuperSport United, and the coach was pleased that his team earned three points at home.

Kaizer Chiefs want to build a fortress FNB.

Zwane argues that development is gradual but that his squad must make the FNB Stadium into a fortress once again.

“We have to build on something, we are a work in progress. For us to get things right, we have to do one thing right [at a time],” Zwane said.

“We are not promising to win every game, but we must ensure that fans are aware they are supporting Kaizer Chiefs and coming to contribute or lose points when they enter FNB Stadium.

We won’t solve everything at once; rather, we’ll tackle things one step at a time. That’s where we should start.

There is still a lot to accomplish.

Zwane was pleased with the outcome but believes Naturena has to set far higher standards when it comes to achieving outcomes.

Chiefs are winless away from home this season despite having three wins and a tie in their four games, but they are undefeated at home.

We want to win each and every game we play; this particular game wasn’t the only one that was crucial for us.

Kaizer Chiefs will now get ready for their match against Amazulu in the first leg of the MTN 8 semi-final in a place that serves as a kind of second home for Zwane’s Glamour Boys.

First, Zwane’s team will have a two-week holiday while just a small number of players are called up for international service.
