Kaizer Chiefs latest: Arthur Zwane ‘comments’ on Zitha Kwinika’s signing

Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Arthur Zwane has ‘commented’ on the imminent arrival of Zitha Kwinika from Stellenbosch FC.

Kwinika’s move to Chiefs was confirmed by Steve Barker at the club’s end of season awards on Tuesday night where the player in question won big.

Kwinika won the Footballer of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season awards at the Stellenbosch annual awards.

“I’d like to wish Zitha well. He’s going back to his boyhood club, where he’s developed,” Barker said.

“Zitha will go back to Kaizer Chiefs, he deserves everything of the best. We wish him well, but be aware, we’re coming for you next season.”

Now, Zwane said he’d rather leave the news of Kwinika joining Chiefs to the management, saying the technical team is still going to have a meeting with the bosses to discuss plans for next season.

Interestingly but not necessarily surprisingly, Zwane said that he doesn’t know who will be joining Chiefs and who will be leaving.

“To be quite honest, I will leave that to the management as you know we are about to sit down with the whole technical staff and talk about what’s going to happen,” Zwane told the media on Wednesday.

“I think next week we will have that meeting. As to who is coming in and who is going, I don’t know,” Zwane added.
