Justin Baldoni has taken to his website to release new details in his ongoing legal dispute with Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds.
The 41-year-old actor and director shared several court documents over the weekend, including an amended complaint, which laid out his version of events and provided a detailed timeline regarding the controversial legal clash.
Baldoni Reveals Alleged Text Exchanges Between Himself, Blake Lively, and Ryan Reynolds
Among the many filings, Baldoni included alleged text message conversations between him and Lively, along with an exchange he had with Reynolds.
These messages paint a picture of the relationship and tensions between the stars during the production of their film It Ends With Us.
The most striking part of the released messages is an exchange from April 2023, where Lively allegedly spoke to Baldoni about the rooftop scene, referring to her flirty nature and playful banter with him.
Baldoni also posted his first-ever text conversation with Reynolds, who he reached out to in February 2023.
In the messages, the two seem to engage in a polite and cordial exchange, which contrasts sharply with the more heated confrontation that would unfold later in the legal battle.
Tensions Rise as Alleged Confrontation Over Body-Shaming Occurs
According to Baldoni’s filings, things took a turn in April 2023 when Lively allegedly accused him of fat-shaming her during filming.
He denies the accusation and claims that when he was summoned to Lively’s penthouse, Reynolds confronted him aggressively about the situation.
Baldoni recalls Reynolds’ angry outburst, which led to repeated, unwarranted apologies from him in an attempt to defuse the tension.
Baldoni Shares Details of His Initial Attempt at Friendship with Ryan Reynolds
Baldoni also disclosed an awkward but sincere text he sent to Reynolds in an attempt to break the ice and form a friendship.
In the message, Baldoni opened up about his life with his wife, Emily Baldoni, and how his small social circle led to him feeling nervous reaching out to Reynolds.
He expressed his hope that they could get to know each other better and work together, something Reynolds responded to warmly.
Reynolds Sends Supportive Text About Baldoni’s Work with Lively
In the messages, Reynolds allegedly expressed his excitement about Baldoni working with Lively, praising him for being a “stand-up person” and a “wonderful collaborator” for his wife.
He also referenced Lively’s selective nature when choosing projects, adding that having her “in your court behind the scenes” was invaluable.
Baldoni Pushes Back Against Allegations and Gears Up for Pre-Trial Conference
These leaked texts come as Baldoni gears up for the pre-trial conference scheduled for Monday.
The legal battle, which includes defamation and extortion countersuits, has been dragging on since December 2024.
Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni, his production company, and others claims sexual harassment and retaliation for speaking out about the alleged misconduct on set.
Baldoni has denied these claims and is now suing Lively, Reynolds, and their PR team for $400 million, along with other defendants, including The New York Times over its coverage of the situation.
The Legal Saga Continues with Upcoming Trial in 2026
As this legal drama intensifies, both sides are preparing for the trial, scheduled for March 2026.
Baldoni’s latest court filings show that he is determined to clear his name, despite the ongoing challenges posed by Lively’s accusations.
