Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta has expressed condolences to Senator Ben Murray- Bruce, Chairman of the Silverbird Group, whose mother, Mrs Margaret Murray- Bruce, died on Tuesday.
The governor stated in an Asaba statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, that he was saddened to learn of Margaret Murray- death, Bruce’ s stressing that her death was a loss not only to her family but to society at large.
He praised the dead matriarch of the Murray- Bruce family’ s services to society and asked the children and other family members to take comfort in the legacies she left behind.
” I learned about Mama Margaret Murray- death, Bruce’ s the mother of Senator Ben Murray- Bruce, my good friend and brother.
” Even though Mama was old, losing a parent at any age is always heartbreaking. Nonetheless, I am comforted by the fact that Mama Murray- Bruce lived a worthy and exemplary life and is known to have had a positive impact on many people’ s lives during her lifetime.
” I express my condolences to my dear brother, Ben Murray- Bruce, on the demise of his loving mother, Mama Margaret Murray- Bruce, on behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta. ”
” It is a tragic loss, but I urge you, Ben, and the rest of the family to find comfort in the fact that she lived a life filled with amazing accomplishments and left permanent imprints.
” We pray that God gives you and your family the strength to face this huge loss, ” Okowa stated.
Recall that it is barely two years since the astute Nigerian senator lost his beloved wife. In correlation with the esteemed governor, Okowa, we also extend our heartfelt condolences to the senator Ben Murray Bruce over this irreplaceable loss.
