Israel Breaks Silence and Signals It Is Ready to Join Trump in a Direct Military Strike Against Iran

Israel would be prepared to participate in military operations against Iran if requested by US President Donald Trump, according to officials in Jerusalem cited in a report published on Thursday.

While no joint operation is currently underway, the comments suggest Israel is keeping the option open should Washington seek additional support.

One Israeli source said the country had already demonstrated its willingness to stand alongside the United States and would be ready to do so again if circumstances required it.

The official added that Israel remains committed to maintaining its military preparedness, even if direct participation is not ultimately requested by Washington.

Israeli Military Says No Immediate Plans for Involvement

Despite those remarks, Israeli defense officials indicated there are no current plans for Israel to become directly involved in the latest exchange of hostilities between the United States and Iran.

Officials told local media that the Israel Defense Forces remain on high alert and prepared to respond to any developments, but emphasized that the current assessment does not point toward immediate Israeli participation in the conflict.

Military leaders also believe Iran is unlikely to expand the confrontation by targeting Israel in the near future, reducing expectations of an imminent escalation on that front.

Tensions Rise After Renewed US-Iran Military Exchanges

The latest statements come after a fresh round of military action between the United States and Iran this week.

According to US Central Command (CENTCOM), the American strikes were launched in response to what it described as Iranian efforts to inflict heavy costs on commercial shipping operating through international waters.

US officials said the action was intended to protect civilian maritime traffic and safeguard freedom of navigation in one of the world’s busiest shipping corridors.

The renewed fighting has heightened concerns about stability in the Strait of Hormuz, a strategically vital route for global energy supplies and international trade.

Trump Declares Nuclear Understanding Effectively Finished

Speaking to reporters during the NATO summit in Ankara on Wednesday, President Donald Trump suggested that the existing Memorandum of Understanding with Iran was no longer valid following the latest military exchanges.

Trump said he believed the agreement had effectively come to an end after the overnight strikes and argued there was little reason to continue diplomatic engagement under the current circumstances.

He also expressed frustration over previous negotiations with Tehran, saying the United States had spent too much time pursuing talks without achieving the desired results.

Israel Continues Monitoring Regional Security Situation

Although Israeli officials currently do not expect Iran to launch attacks against the country, security agencies remain closely focused on developments across the region.

With tensions between Washington and Tehran once again intensifying, Israel’s military says it is maintaining operational readiness for any scenario while continuing to monitor events that could rapidly alter the regional security landscape.
