Institute of Mechanical Engineers Trains More Than Sixty youths

 
The Nigerian institute of mechanical engineers has trained more than sixty youths and intends to extend the training to all parts of the country.

 
The National Chairman of the Institute Engineer Mohammed Ndaliman stated this at a briefing to mark the 34th international conference and annual general meeting of the institute.

 
The event was which was held in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city was themed : ‘Harmonisation and optimisation of Nigeria’s energy potentials for sustainable development.


 
Matched With Professionals
Engineer Ndaliman said the institute has also opened a platform for mentoring of young Nigerians who were matched with professionals for mentoring and training.

Speaking on the challenges of fossil fuel and it’s effect on climate change, Immediate former National Chairman of the Institute, Engineer Robinson Ejuwa said “fossil fuel is a challenge in the world that all mechanical Engineers need to think about and go back to the drawing board to map out ways to engage other sources of energy to drive the economy.


 
Also, the National Membership Secretary, Engineer Oduwa Agboneni said Royal academy of engineering and Industrial Trust Fund is collaborating with the institute to train youths in automobile engineering.
