A person who had a keen interest in tattoos during her teenage years has now decided to have them all removed. Abby Baffoe, a model from the United States, shared on TikTok that she has chosen to undergo laser removal for three out of her four tattoos because she no longer wishes to keep them. However, one particular tattoo is causing her the most concern.
In a video, she revealed that she had gotten a tattoo on her ribs at the age of 17 as a tribute to her parents’ marriage, but they have since divorced. Abby, now 27, also explained that she got the tattoos before her body had fully matured, causing the ink to spread and distort as her body changed. She humorously commented, “I quite literally got them before my frontal lobe developed.”
While Abby still appreciates tattoos in general, she expressed that her current priorities and style have shifted, making her existing tattoos no longer meaningful to her. She shared, “My priorities are a little bit different, my style is way different. I’m always finding myself trying to cover them up or angling myself differently in photos so that they’re not showing.”
Specifically addressing the tattoo on her side, she remarked, “I’ve grown a lot since [I had it done]. You can’t even read it anymore.” In another video, she displayed the side tattoo that she had acquired illegally at 17. The words “to the moon and the stars” in Italian were inscribed, reflecting a saying her parents used before their divorce. Abby questioned why she still has the tattoo on her body given the changed circumstances.
Abby also revealed her intention to remove other tattoos, including a yin/yang symbol on the back of her neck and a tribute to a deceased friend on her forearm. She mentioned that she intends to keep a pisces sign tattoo on her buttocks because she finds it “cute.”
In a cautionary message to her followers, she advised, “Reminder to double think before your tattoos.”
