Hijackers arrested with police gear, Boksburg North

The Crime Prevention members were reportedly out on a route patrol when they detected a suspicious looking vehicle. The suspects immediately sped off when they noticed the police, but their vehicle was swiftly intercepted by the SAPS members.

A search led the members to recover police uniform and other SAPS related items, unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

Further investigation revealed that the suspects’ vehicle is linked to a carjacking case being investigated by SAPS Jeppe.

The two suspects were subsequently arrested and expected to appear before a Magistrates’ Court soon.
