H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, met today with H.H. Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s Prime Minister, who arrived in the UAE yesterday to lead a Kuwaiti delegation attending the World Government Summit.
In the presence of H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan welcomed H.H. Sheikh Sabah and the accompanying delegation at a meeting held on the sidelines of the World Government Summit at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, the two leaders addressed the expanding bilateral cooperation between the two nations in different spheres.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed praised Kuwait’s efforts to improve government performance and strengthen the sector’s capabilities through a variety of initiatives, including the Knowledge Index for Public Institutions, which was launched at the World Government Summit in collaboration with the World Bank.
According to His Highness, the Summit acts as a launch pad for key initiatives, ideas, and projects aimed at improving government efficiency.

Kuwait’s Prime Minister commended the UAE on hosting the World Government Summit 2022 and Expo 2020 Dubai, which is taking place for the first time in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia region. H.H. Sheikh Sabah lauded the UAE’s unique growth approach, which has allowed the country to grow fast and responsibly.
The summit also examined regional and global developments, as well as many global concerns that require stronger cooperation to overcome.
The two presidents also emphasized the necessity of bolstering collaboration in order to advance the interests of their respective countries as well as the Gulf region.
H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Airline and Group; H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council; and a number of ministers and officials attended the meeting.
