Lucknow-based real estate firm Tulsiani Group has found itself embroiled in controversy amid accusations of duping investors and banks to the tune of ₹30 Crore. Gauri Khan, the brand ambassador for the company, faces scrutiny over her involvement in this alleged financial misconduct.

Complaints and FIR Against Tulsiani Group Directors
The allegations surfaced following a complaint filed by a Mumbai-based individual, Kirit Jaswant Shah, who purchased a flat worth ₹85 lakh in the Sushant Golf City project by Tulsiani Group in 2015. Shah, aggrieved by not receiving possession of the flat or a refund, filed a complaint against Tulsiani Group’s directors – Anil Kumar Tulsiani, Mahesh Tulsiani – and the brand ambassador, Gauri Khan.

Unfulfilled Promises and Legal Actions
Shah’s complaint outlined promises made by the company regarding flat possession in 2016, which were unfulfilled. He discovered that the agreement for his booked flat had been transferred to another individual without his knowledge, leading to the filing of an FIR against the accused in March 2023.

Denials and Contradictory Claims
Despite the allegations, sources close to the matter have refuted these reports, dismissing them as baseless and untrue. A source indicated that Gauri Khan’s connection to the alleged fraud is unfounded, stating that she has no involvement in the case. Reports suggesting an Enforcement Directorate (ED) notice to Gauri are refuted, while officials are set to investigate various facets of the case. Neither Gauri Khan nor Shah Rukh Khan have responded to these allegations as of yet.
