Former President Donald Trump Accuses Vice President Kamala Harris of Antisemitism Amid Escalating Tensions Between Israel and Hezbollah in the U.S.

In a recent interview with WABC radio, former President Donald Trump made some shocking statements about Vice President Kamala Harris and her family, igniting a wave of controversy.

The comments came during a period of heightened tensions between Israel Defense Forces and Hezbollah, as the Biden administration faces criticism for its support of Israel.

Trump didn’t hold back in his criticism of Harris, suggesting that she harbors animosity towards Israel and Jewish people. “You can see the disdain,” Trump said of Harris, who is expected to be the Democratic nominee.

“First, she doesn’t like Israel. Second, she doesn’t like Jewish people. You know it, I know it, and everybody knows it.

Nobody wants to say it,” he added.

Despite Harris’s marriage to Doug Emhoff, the second gentleman, Trump continued to assert that Harris has negative views about Jewish people. This led to a quick and sharp response from the Harris campaign, which strongly rejected Trump’s comments.

 Interview Controversy

During the interview, host Sid Rosenberg made a provocative remark about Emhoff, likening him to Bernie Sanders in terms of his Jewish identity and dismissing him as a “crappy Jew.”

Trump’s response, which included agreeing with Rosenberg’s sentiment, further fueled the controversy. Rosenberg went on to call Emhoff a “horrible Jew,” and Trump repeated his agreement.

Harris Campaign’s Response

The Harris campaign was quick to condemn the remarks. Spokesperson James Singer said, “America is better than the fear, hate, and despicable insults of Donald Trump.”

He emphasized that Harris is focused on uniting the country and addressing issues that affect families, rather than engaging in divisive rhetoric.

Trump’s Past Statements and Reactions

Trump’s remarks about Harris are not isolated incidents.

Earlier in the week, he made similar claims about her at a Christian group event in Florida. This isn’t the first time Trump has faced backlash for his comments about Jewish people. In March, he suggested that Jews who vote for Democrats “hate Israel” and their own religion.

Emhoff, who is notably the first Jewish person to serve as the spouse of a U.S. leader, has been active in combating antisemitism, including leading Passover celebrations and placing mezuzahs at the vice president’s residence.

Attack on Schumer

Trump also targeted Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, who is Jewish, accusing him of being unsupportive of Israel. “Fifteen years ago, you couldn’t say anything bad about Israel, or you’d be out of office.

Now, Schumer has become a Palestinian,” Trump claimed.

Harris Campaign’s Final Word

In response, the Harris campaign stated, “Donald Trump is hateful, despicable, and should not be our president. He roots against America and insults America.

Why would we want to put him in charge of America? Trump’s attempt to appeal to Jewish voters by denigrating them is wrong.”

The debate continues as both campaigns react to the charged rhetoric, reflecting the ongoing political and social tensions in the current climate.
