…By Jack Sylva for TDPel Media. Former militant leader Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, has expressed his support for the appointment of Nuhu Ribadu as the National Security Adviser (NSA).
Initially appointed as a Special Adviser on Security by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ribadu has now taken on the role of NSA.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Tompolo congratulated Ribadu on his appointment and emphasized the importance of implementing measures to enhance the country’s security apparatus.
He commended President Tinubu for selecting Ribadu, citing his extensive experience and exceptional track record in the Nigerian security sector.
Tompolo expressed confidence that Ribadu’s appointment would bring significant benefits to the country, elevating the nation’s security apparatus to a commendable level.
He conveyed his joy on behalf of his family, friends, and associates, and offered his well wishes to Ribadu in his new role.
The report also highlights that in 2021, Tompolo was awarded a contract by the Muhammadu Buhari government to secure oil pipelines and combat oil bunkering in the Niger Delta region.
