The Nigeria Police Force’s Borno State command has apprehended a former member of Boko Haram, Baba-Goni Mohammed Ibrahim, on charges of money theft.

The arrest was made after Ibrahim allegedly stole property worth N170,000 in Maiduguri, the state capital.
Arrest of Suspected Robbery Syndicate Member:
During a recent operation in Damasak, Mobar Local Government Area, the police also captured a suspected member of a foreign robbery syndicate.
The suspect, Modu Adamu, confessed to his involvement in multiple robbery operations in the area.
Paraded at the state command headquarters, Adamu disclosed details of their criminal activities and how they were apprehended by security operatives.

The two individuals mentioned above were among 110 suspects paraded at the Borno State command headquarters for their alleged participation in various criminal acts in the state.
The suspects face charges related to crimes such as homicide, armed robbery, rape, handset snatching, and kidnapping.

Adamu, in his confession, revealed receiving sums of money from their robbery operations.
He also disclosed the source of their uniforms and weapons, stating that they purchased them from a village in Diffa province, Niger Republic.
Ibrahim, the repentant Boko Haram member, admitted to stealing several items, including eight wrappers, from a resident in Maiduguri.
