The build-up to the FIFA World Cup 2026 is set to merge global football excitement with star-studded entertainment, as Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Davido has been confirmed as one of the headline performers for the Los Angeles edition of the official Countdown Concert series.

The announcement was made by FIFA, which revealed that the event will take place on Wednesday, June 10, as part of a coordinated entertainment rollout across the tournament’s three host nations: the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Global Music Meets Football in Multi-City Celebration

FIFA described the concert series as a first-of-its-kind synchronized experience linking live performances across multiple cities, designed to reflect the cultural diversity and global reach of the World Cup.

The Los Angeles edition will feature Davido alongside internationally recognised DJ and producer Diplo and his electronic music project Major Lazer, with additional performers expected to be announced ahead of the event.

According to FIFA, the concert will be staged at the Crypto.com Arena, one of the city’s most prominent entertainment venues, reinforcing Los Angeles’ role as a central hub for the global celebration.

Event Timings and Broadcast Plans Confirmed

Organisers have confirmed that doors will open at 5:00 p.m. PT, while the live show is scheduled to begin broadcasting at 6:00 p.m. PT.

The concert will also connect live feeds from parallel events in Mexico City and Toronto, creating a unified broadcast experience across North America as anticipation builds toward the tournament kick-off.

FIFA’s Chief Tournament Officer for the United States, Manolo Zubiria, highlighted the significance of the initiative, noting that the concerts are designed to showcase unity, culture, and shared passion for football across continents.

He described the Los Angeles show as a high-energy celebration set just days before the tournament’s opening matches in the United States, bringing together music fans and football supporters in a single global moment.

Tickets, Streaming, and Global Access

Ticket sales for the Los Angeles Countdown Concert will open on Wednesday, June 3 at 10:00 a.m. PST, giving fans early access to what is expected to be one of the major entertainment events ahead of the tournament.

Beyond the live audience, FIFA confirmed that the concert will be broadcast globally through its official digital platforms, including a livestream on the FIFA World Cup TikTok account, which will serve as the exclusive social media streaming partner.

Additionally, the full concert and exclusive behind-the-scenes content will be made available the following day on FIFA’s on-demand platform, VuMe Live, extending the reach of the event well beyond the arena audience.
