Mrs. Margaret Adeseye, the Director of LSFRS, issued a statement in which she urged residents to dismiss the video’s claims, reassuring them that there is no cause for alarm.
Upon receiving the report, the Service promptly mobilized its firefighters to investigate the reported address.
However, all attempts to locate the incident proved futile, as there was no recent occurrence of pipeline vandalism in the mentioned area.
Further investigation revealed that the viral video, causing unrest among the public, actually depicts an incident from the past.
The event in question took place on 30th October 2020 and was effectively managed by the authorities at that time.
