Arsenal continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign with a sixth straight victory, but Wednesday’s 6-0 rout of Nottingham Forest by new Manchester City acquisition Erling Haaland stole the show with his second hat-trick.

Record-breaking signing for Newcastle United At Anfield, Alexander Isak’s first-ever goal gave his team the lead, but Fabio Carvalho’s late goal gave Liverpool a 2-1 triumph.

Although they were thwarted to a 1-1 tie against West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur managed to stay unblemished.

Haaland has had a stunning effect since his long-awaited arrival at Manchester City.

Haaland scored three goals in the first 38 minutes as furious City thrashed Forest, after three goals in the second half of a victory against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

He set a record when he joined City from Borussia Dortmund with nine goals in five league games.

“It was about continuing to play, play, play, like we did against Palace in the second half. It’s been excellent so far, so I won’t moan “said he.

After receiving a feed from Phil Foden, Haaland gave City the lead in the 12th minute. Foden also assisted Haaland on his second goal.

Haaland scored all three goals with a strong header.

The champions’ latest acquisition, the Argentine Julian Alvarez, scored twice after the interval as City once again showcased their potent offensive capabilities.

Arsenal are in front despite City’s 13 points from five games and 19 goals scored.

The Gunners defeated Aston Villa 2-1 at The Emirates to earn Mikel Arteta’s team their fifth victory. Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli, both from Brazil, scored goals for the Gunners.

Three minutes after struggling Villa had tied the score when substitute Douglas Luiz scored immediately from a corner, Jesus gave the game its first goal in the 31st minute, and Martinelli scored the game’s last goal in the 77th.

Because we are winning football games the way we should, Arteta added, “We are tremendously thrilled.”

“The way we played in the first half is incredibly gratifying to me as a coach,” the coach said. “We need to improve, and you could see that in the second half.”

In the second half, with Liverpool roaring, the 22-year-old had a goal ruled out.

When Roberto Firmino finished Mohamed Salah’s cut-back in the 61st minute, Liverpool finally woke up and responded.

Carvalho scored the game-winning goal in the eighth minute of stoppage time to bring Newcastle up to fifth place in the standings with eight points, as Newcastle fought valiantly for a point.

According to Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp, “football can go in both ways, but today it went in the correct one, a wonderful finale of the game.” Klopp also charged Newcastle with time-wasting.

Eddie Howe, his rival, was less content.

“That is incredibly sad, but I am genuinely proud of the guys and happy of their devotion,” he remarked.

Thilo Kehrer’s own goal gave Tottenham the lead against West Ham, giving them a chance to tie Manchester City for the lead with 13 points.

However, Tomas Soucek’s equaliser in the 55th minute gave West Ham a deserving point.

Following their 9-0 thrashing at Liverpool, Bournemouth fired manager Scott Parker this week.

They rebounded with a 0-0 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers at home.
