Harry Potter Star Sir Michael Gambon Leaves £1.5M Estate to Wife, Snubbing Long-Term Girlfriend and Sons in Will

The late Sir Michael Gambon, renowned for his portrayal of Professor Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter series, has left his £1.5 million estate primarily to his wife, Anne Gambon, according to his recently disclosed will.

The document, finalized in 2016, designates Lady Gambon and her son, Fergus, as executors.

Notably, almost the entirety of the fortune is bequeathed to Lady Gambon, while the actor’s long-term girlfriend, set designer Phillipa Hart, and their two teenage sons receive minimal provisions.

Long-Term Girlfriend and Sons Left Out

Despite sharing two decades of his life with Ms. Hart, Sir Michael’s will omits her entirely. Ms. Hart, who resided openly with the actor in a West London townhouse, is left without any inheritance.

Their two sons, Tom and William, each receive £10,000 and a silver heart Variety Club of Great Britain stage actor award.

The trophies, awarded to Sir Michael in 1987 and 2000, symbolize a modest share of the late actor’s wealth.

Ms. Hart’s Silence Amidst Inheritance Questions

Ms. Hart, residing in her £1.5 million Victorian terraced four-bed, declined to comment on her exclusion from the will when approached by the Daily Mail.

In response, she stated, ‘It’s none of my business. I really don’t want to talk about this.’ Fergus, Lady Gambon’s son and one of the will’s executors, also refrained from commenting at their £5 million Grade II listed family mansion in Meopham, Kent.

Complicated Romantic Dynamics

Sir Michael, who passed away in September 2023 at the age of 82, led a complex romantic life. His long-term relationship with Ms.

The initial revelation of his other relationship reportedly caused distress to Lady Gambon, leading to a temporary separation.

However, she eventually reconciled with Sir Michael, and the couple resumed living together in their Gravesend home.
