Don’s tombstone quickly became a viral sensation after being shared on social media.
The actor’s resting place is located at West Park Cemetery, specifically at the Heroes’ Acre, a prestigious section of the cemetery reserved for industry legends.
The monumental tombstone, designed by Khaabo Tombstones, features a striking gold and black granite design.
It is adorned with a life-size portrait of Don, which stands proudly on a platform of three steps.
Each step is engraved with a list of Don’s most significant achievements throughout his career, ensuring his legacy is never forgotten.

A Legacy of Grand Final Tributes
The Heroes’ Acre section of the cemetery is known for housing the graves of South Africa’s most prominent figures, with Don joining the ranks of many other celebrated personalities.

It also hosts beloved actors such as Connie Chiume, Shona Ferguson, and Joe Mafela, along with music icons like Robbie Malinga and Mandoza.

In an extraordinary gesture, the City of Ekurhuleni approved a special civil funeral for the actor, and his coffin was carried on a fire truck.
Draped in a South African flag, the coffin made its way to the final resting place in a striking and fitting manner, offering Don a spectacular send-off.
