Delta State Government Raids Hotel and Brothel in Anti-Drug Operation


On Monday, September 25, the Delta State Government, through its Office of Human Trafficking and Illicit Drugs, conducted a raid on a well-known hotel located along New Road in Sapele, as well as a brothel situated in the Ogun-Aja area.

The operation was part of the government’s ongoing efforts to combat drug-related issues and promote a drug-free society in Sapele Local Government Area and throughout Delta State.

Video footage circulated online showcased the alleged involvement of sex workers and the discovery of suspected drugs within the targeted hotel and brothel.

Arrest and Release of Suspects:

As a result of the operation, several individuals, including the alleged sex workers, were apprehended. They were subsequently taken to the Sapele police station for processing.

However, it is reported that these individuals were later released on bail, suggesting ongoing investigations into the matter.
