The goalkeeper, who had been linked to a return to Nottingham Forest, has signed a five-year contract at Selhurst Park and will cost the Eagles somewhere about £20 million.

Henderson joined the United academy in 2011, and has been a member of the team ever since. However, last season, he only made 13 first-team appearances and spent time on loan at Stockport, Grimsby, Sheffield United, and Nottingham Forest.
Henderson wrote on social media, “It’s hard for me to say goodbye to United.”
