David Dawes sells £9m Chelsea FC bar and pool villa

Dave Dawes, a lover of Chelsea football and winner of the EuroMillions, is selling his football-themed house for £9 million.

Dave Dawes, the winner of the EuroMillions lottery, is the current owner of this Surrey property with seven bedrooms. In October 2011, after winning £101 million, he bought the house.

Mr. Dawes was a shift supervisor at Premier Foods prior to winning the jackpot, and Angela volunteered for the British Heart Foundation.

The couple, who had only previously played twice, were astonished by their good fortune.

The couple turned their closest friends and family became billionaires by giving away a significant portion of their wealth after purchasing a new engagement ring, organising their ideal wedding, and arranging multiple vacations.

Mr. Dawes, an enthusiastic Chelsea supporter and football aficionado, had the indoor pool tiled with the team’s insignia to honour them.

The pair was targeted and robbed in 2019, and the thieves got away with £20,000 cash, jewellery, and a Range Rover. After then, the pair relocated to this more opulent and spacious estate, leaving Tom Jones’ previous residence.

After winning £101 million in 2011, the Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, native couple ranked sixth among winners in Britain.

Before purchasing Tom Jones’ previous home, they originally shelled over £4.5 million on a property in Fulham, West London, only ten minutes from Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium for football-mad Mr. Dawes, 56.

The couple was obliged to appear in court in 2017 when Mr. Dawes’ son, 32-year-old Afghanistan veteran Michael Dawes, claimed that his father was “ungenerous in spirit” for excluding him from the will.

The affluent father did not need to keep bailing out his son, who spent £1.6 million in two years and kept coming back for more after disobeying his stepmother’s suggestion to quit dining at the Ritz and switch to McDonald’s, according to a judge at Central London County Court.

According to him, “there was no foundation on which any sane or normal human being could infer that they could go back for more money anytime they wanted.”

He completely rejected Michael and James Beedle’s allegation.

The house has an indoor pool, eight baths, five reception rooms, a big garage, and a leisure complex.

The listing describes the pool area as being “set under a glass roof, bathed with natural light, with the far side dedicated to large sliding doors facing the grounds.”

“A gym with a sauna and changing rooms completes the recreational facility.

A breakfast bar, pantry, and laundry room are all included in the fully integrated contemporary kitchen, which opens out to a stunning orangery.

The home, which is 13,000 square feet in size and sits on 1.5 acres of ground, is surrounded by 900 acres of natural woods, providing luxury and tranquilly.
