BREAKING: Husband and wife, aged 63 and 59, shot in the head

Police in the Eastern Cape have initiated a manhunt for the individuals who reportedly shot and killed a man and woman in Kamesh early on Monday morning, April 18.

Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, a spokesperson for the South African Police Service (SAPS), said officers responded to a reported shooting at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.

The bodies of a man and woman were discovered in the front entrance of a house in Kabah, Kamesh. Both had been hit in the head with bullets.

According to the police spokeswoman, the deceased were named as Isaac Moses, 63, and Merlin Alkenstead, 59.

“At this time, the culprits remain unknown, and the motive for the shooting is being investigated.” “Police are looking into two murder cases,” Janse van Rensburg added.
