Ali Baba took to his Instagram page to share a photo collage that depicted Shettima at a church gathering alongside Muslims engaged in prayer.

Respecting Religious Beliefs

In the photos shared by Ali Baba, former Borno State Governor Shettima was shown wearing a cap while those around him removed their head coverings as a sign of respect for the sacred space.

Ali Baba emphasized the importance of respecting the religious beliefs, rituals, and observations of the people when entering a place considered holy.

Ali Baba captioned the photo collage with a statement that underscored the significance of honoring one’s hosts when entering a sacred space.

He stated, “When you enter a place considered holy or sacred by a people, you respect their beliefs, rituals, and observations… that’s how it’s done. You do it to honor who your hosts are. But then again.”

Vice President Shettima’s Perspective

Meanwhile, Vice President Kashim Shettima, speaking at the G77+China leaders’ summit in Cuba, emphasized the need for international cooperation to address global challenges.

He stated that despite tensions in some parts of the world, countries should work together to pursue mutually beneficial progress.
