Johannesburg – On Saturday, SuperSport United’s head coach Gavin Hunt will return to the FNB Stadium looking to inflict further pain on his old team, Kaizer Chiefs.

Amakhosi’s resurrection season has not gotten off to the best of starts. In 14th place, they are in the bottom half of the standings.

Having drawn their last two matches, they are also lacking in confidence, which has put new head coach Arthur Zwane under pressure.

SuperSport are beginning to rediscover their footing under the return of coach Hunt, who was fired from Chiefs two seasons ago owing to poor performance.

Zwane, meanwhile, is aware of what to anticipate from Hunt’s men, having served as Hunt’s deputy at Chiefs.

“While we were with Coach Gavin, we learned a great deal. “There is no doubt that he is a good coach,” Zwane stated this week.

“You witnessed how they traveled to Maritzburg and manipulated the results. There is no doubt that he will arrive at the FNB to achieve results. We must be prepared.”

After a dismal start, Chippa United’s new coach Daine Klate has already been fired.

Morgan Mammila, who is also the technical director after returning to the club, and Siyabulala Gwambi have begun well as Klate’s replacements.

Last Saturday, the pair led the Chilli Boys to a 2-1 victory over AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in their maiden game in charge.

The Chilli Boys’ fresh personnel will be put to the test on Saturday when they face the Marumo Gallants at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

In recent weeks, Gallants have dominated the news because to rumors that new coach Romain Folz left due to management meddling.

Raymond Mdaka has since assumed his position. However, the club is reportedly close to rehiring former coach Daniel Malesela, who was fired last season.

When Stellenbosch FC travels to Sekhukhune United in the north for a Saturday evening match, they will be eager to maintain their current form.

Last Saturday, Stellies ended a four-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over Swallows at the Bidvest Wits Stadium.

Stellies’ revival was spurred by Sibongiseni Mthethwa, who will be eager to maintain his form after receiving his first call-up to Bafana Bafana.
