Charlesbank Capital Partners has announced a new round of leadership promotions, elevating five senior professionals to the position of Managing Director as the private investment firm continues to strengthen its leadership team.
The promotions recognize the contributions of Catherine Farrow, Jesse Ge, Michael McGuire, Jared Pomerance, and William Reilly across the firm’s private equity, credit, and human capital operations.
Promotions Reflect Broad Leadership Across the Firm
The newly promoted Managing Directors represent several key areas of Charlesbank’s business, including private equity investing, credit strategy, and talent management.
Their combined experience spans investment sourcing, portfolio management, organizational development, and operational leadership, reinforcing the firm’s long-term growth strategy.
Each executive has played a significant role in expanding Charlesbank’s investment platform while helping drive value across portfolio companies and internal initiatives.
Catherine Farrow Strengthens Talent and Organizational Development
Catherine Farrow joined Charlesbank in 2024 as Head of Human Capital and has led initiatives designed to enhance recruitment, employee development, organizational culture, and workforce engagement.
Before joining the investment firm, Farrow built much of her career at Bain & Company, progressing from Associate Consultant to Vice President of Talent and Operations.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before completing her MBA at Harvard University.
Jesse Ge Continues to Expand Consumer and Business Services Portfolio
Jesse Ge has been part of Charlesbank’s Flagship Private Equity team since 2017, concentrating on investments across the Business and Consumer Services sectors.
His investment portfolio includes involvement with Bridges Consumer Healthcare, Front Row Group, Galls, and Polyconcept.
Prior to Charlesbank, Ge worked at Sycamore Partners as an Associate and earlier served as a consultant at Bain & Company.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Michael McGuire Drives Technology Investment Strategy
Michael McGuire joined Charlesbank in 2013 after serving as a Principal in the private equity practice at The Parthenon Group.
Since then, he has focused on investments within the technology and technology infrastructure sectors.
McGuire plays an active role in investments including Centegix, Ivanti, and symplr, while also serving on United Way’s Private Equity & Venture Capital Leadership Council.
He graduated from Williams College with degrees in Economics and Art History before earning his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Jared Pomerance Expands Financial Services Investment Expertise
Jared Pomerance became part of Charlesbank’s Flagship Private Equity team in 2022 after working at Parthenon Capital, where he specialized in financial services buyouts.
Earlier in his career, he also held investment roles at Pamplona Capital and Audax Group.
At Charlesbank, he focuses on financial services opportunities within the firm’s Business and Consumer Services practice.
His current investment portfolio includes Overbay Capital Partners, Perspective Financial Group, and Rise Growth Partners.
Pomerance earned an Economics degree from Middlebury College and later completed an MBA with high distinction at Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business.
William Reilly Helps Lead the Firm’s Credit Platform
William Reilly joined Charlesbank in 2014 as part of its Flagship Private Equity team before moving two years later to the firm’s newly established Credit strategy, where he became a founding team member.
Today, Reilly oversees credit underwriting and due diligence activities across multiple industries while supporting investments such as Cyxtera, United Road Services, and Wealth Enhancement Group.
Before Charlesbank, he worked as a Senior Associate in McKinsey & Company’s corporate finance group, advising financial and business services clients.
He received his Economics degree with honors from Haverford College.
