Saturday, the public health organization revealed that CDC Director Rochelle Walensky tested positive with COVID-19. The CDC said in a statement that Walensky tested positive late on Friday and is experiencing minor symptoms.

According to the statement, Walensky’s vaccinations are current. The agency considers a person “current” if they have received both the primary series of the COVID-19 vaccination and the most recent booster dose.

The CDC reports that Walensky is isolating himself at home and plans to participate in meetings online.
