The Central Bank of Nigeria has taken significant measures to minimize the country’s increasing unemployment rate. This 500 million yen scholarship aims to empower undergraduates and graduates.

This scholarship was created in partnership with Nigerian universities and polytechnics.

Through a 500 million grant, the Central Bank of Nigeria is assisting undergraduates and graduates of universities and polytechnics to launch enterprises of their choosing.

CBN TIES Loan Requirements
Needs to be Nigerian
Must possess a degree from an accredited college or polytechnic
Must possess a first-degree certificate, a higher national diploma, or an equivalent qualification.
Must have graduated from the National youth service
Must not be older than seven years post-NYSC
Entrepreneurship training must be demonstrated by a university or polytechnic participation certificate.
How to Apply for CBN TIES Grant of 500M
Initial visit to the official website cbnties.com.

Click the “Apply Now” link at the top of the menu bar.
Read the Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Scheme guidelines (TIES)
Press the “Proceed” button.
Now you’re looking at a form titled TIES Term Loan Pre-Qualification.

Select Type of Loan:

Tier 2 – Small Business / Business

Description:

For Partnerships that are either Limited Liability Companies or Small Businesses as defined by CAMA.

Tenor:

Loan Limit:

N25 million

Interest Rate:

5% from now until February 2023, and 9% beginning in March 2023

Moratorium:

Maximum of one year (dependent on type of business)

Or Choose a Loan Type:

Level 1 – Sole Ownership

Description:

For sole proprietorships, limited liability corporations, and small businesses as defined by CAMA.

Tenor:

Loan Limit:

N5 million

Interest Rate:

5% from now until February 2023, and 9% beginning in March 2023

Moratorium:

Maximum of one year (dependent on type of business)
