Social media personality Bryce Hall has been ordered to stay away from his former girlfriend, Mika Lafuente, until January 2027 as he faces criminal charges stemming from an alleged domestic dispute at his Las Vegas home.
The 27-year-old appeared before Las Vegas Justice Court on Tuesday, where Justice of the Peace Nancy Bernstein imposed the restriction following his arrest last month.
Hall faces one felony count of coercion constituting domestic violence involving the threat or use of physical force, as well as one misdemeanor count of domestic battery. The charges relate to an incident alleged to have occurred on July 27.
The allegations have not been proven in court, and Hall’s attorney has disputed the account of events.
Dispute Allegedly Escalated Over a Roomba Vacuum Cleaner
According to an arrest report obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the confrontation began when Lafuente returned to the property she had previously shared with Hall to collect her belongings following their breakup.
Lafuente reportedly told police that she had retrieved most of her possessions but went back inside to collect a Roomba robot vacuum cleaner.
The report alleges that Hall prevented her from taking the appliance, leading to an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation.
Lafuente subsequently called 911 to report the incident. Investigators also obtained an audio recording she had allegedly made secretly during the encounter.
Witnesses Describe Alleged Physical Confrontation
Witnesses cited in the arrest report told investigators that Hall grabbed Lafuente and moved her towards the front door before allegedly throwing her onto landscaping rocks outside the property.
The incident reportedly left Lafuente with minor scratches.
The report also refers to audio in which Lafuente can be heard challenging Hall to slap her. Hall allegedly responded: “I’m not going to hit you. I am going to grab you.”
The recording and witness accounts form part of the reported evidence surrounding the allegations. Their significance will be considered through the legal process.
Criminal Complaint Filed Weeks After Alleged Incident
The criminal complaint against Hall was filed on August 28, more than a month after the alleged confrontation. A judge issued an arrest warrant on September 10, according to the report.
Hall was subsequently arrested and released on his own recognisance, meaning he did not have to post bail.
His latest court appearance resulted in the order barring him from seeing Lafuente through January 2027.
Hall is scheduled to return to court on December 1 as the case proceeds.
Hall’s Lawyer Denies Allegations and Promises Courtroom Defence
Hall’s attorney, Frank Coumou, has challenged the allegations and offered a different account of the circumstances surrounding the dispute.
Speaking to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Coumou claimed that Lafuente had been trespassing at Hall’s home and refusing to leave.
“This is the basis of the alleged domestic violence,” the attorney said, referring to the circumstances described in his client’s defence.
He added that Hall was prepared to contest the case in court.
The defence’s position contrasts with the allegations outlined in the arrest report. Hall has not been convicted of the offences, and the case remains subject to judicial proceedings.
Breakup Announced Days Before Alleged Incident
The alleged confrontation occurred two days after Hall publicly announced that his relationship with Lafuente had ended.
The pair had been dating for more than two years before their separation.
In a social media video posted on July 25, Hall told followers that Lafuente had moved out of his home and acknowledged that the breakup “wasn’t pretty.”
He declined to provide further details about the separation at the time, saying he did not intend to discuss the circumstances publicly before wishing his former girlfriend well.
The criminal case now places the events surrounding the couple’s separation under legal scrutiny, with Hall expected to return to court on December 1.
