Britons honour the Queen their own ways

Today is day three of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, and Britons around the country are celebrating ahead of the Party at the Palace this evening.

Local streets have been decorated in red, white, and blue around the country, much as they were for Her Majesty’s Coronation in June 1953.

Families and neighbors have come together to commemorate the Queen’s 70 years as Queen of the United Kingdom, and the country as a whole has gone all out to decorate with kilometers of bunting and Jubilee souvenirs.

While there are clouds and the possibility of showers in areas of the south of England this afternoon, significant parts of the country are likely to be dry and sunny, indicating that preparations for the third day of celebrations are well underway.

Today is the third day of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee official celebrations, which include the Epsom Derby and the Party at the Palace event, which will feature Sir Rod Stewart, Diana Ross, Sam Ryder, and others.

The concert is the highlight of the third day of public festivities to commemorate the 96-year-old monarch’s record-breaking Platinum Jubilee, which will draw 22,000 people to Buckingham Palace.
