Britney Spears Opens Up About Her Past in New Memoir
Confession of Cheating
Britney Spears has revealed a long-anticipated admission in her upcoming memoir, “The Woman in Me.” The songstress admitted to cheating on her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, with dancer Wade Robson.
According to The Sun, Britney disclosed in the book that she and Robson “made out” after a wild night out. This revelation comes after years of speculation and rumors about their relationship.
Retaliation in Kind
Britney claims that her infidelity occurred in response to discovering Timberlake’s alleged infidelity. She asserts that Justin had been involved with two celebrities while still in a relationship with her.
One of them is believed to be Nicole Appleton, a member of the girl group All Saints, whom Timberlake was pictured with sneaking into a hotel in 2000. The other celebrity’s identity is not revealed, but Britney states that this person is now “married with children.”
The Affair Night
Describing the affair, Britney wrote, “We were out one night and we went to a Spanish bar. We danced and danced. I made out with him that night.” She emphasized that this was the only exception to her loyalty to Justin throughout their relationship.
Confrontation and Forgiveness
Britney later confessed the incident to Justin, and the couple moved past it, remaining together. However, it has long been rumored that Justin’s hit song “Cry Me A River” was inspired by the alleged cheating incident. These incidents have been suggested as a possible reason for Britney and Justin’s eventual split in 2002.
Wade Robson’s Accusations
Wade Robson, the dancer involved in the affair, went on to accuse the late Michael Jackson of sexual abuse years later. Robson claimed that he first met Jackson at the age of five and that two years later, they were sharing a bedroom, along with his sister.
The alleged abuse started when Robson’s parents left. He explained, “He made me feel complicit, that I wanted it at least as much, if not more than him.”
Abortion and Relationship Struggles
Britney also detailed a difficult chapter in her relationship with Justin. She revealed that she became pregnant with Timberlake’s baby but decided to have an abortion because he “wasn’t ready” to be a father.
Britney wrote, “Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.” This decision was described as one of the most agonizing experiences in her life.
Release of the Memoir
Britney Spears’ new memoir is set to be released on October 24th, almost two years after her court-ordered conservatorship came to an end.
