Hollywood Icon Barbra Streisand Dishes on Her Star-Studded Relationships

Barbra Streisand’s Tell-All Memoir Unveils A-List Ex-Boyfriends

Renowned singer and actress Barbra Streisand has offered a candid glimpse into her past relationships with some of Hollywood’s biggest names in her upcoming memoir, “My Name Is Barbra.”

In a recent interview with Gayle King on CBS Sunday Morning, Streisand admitted that, if it were up to her, she would have kept her famous ex-boyfriends out of her memoir.

Pressure to Write About A-List Lovers

Despite her initial reluctance, Streisand disclosed that she felt compelled to write about her A-list lovers due to external pressures, including those from her editor. She confessed, “My editor said, ‘You have to leave some blood on the page.'”

This revelation led to her memoir containing accounts of her high-profile romantic relationships.

A Star-Studded Romantic History

Streisand’s romantic history boasts a notable roster of ex-partners, including Miami Vice’s Don Johnson, celebrity hairstylist-turned-superstar producer Jon Peters, and former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.

However, her romantic interests weren’t limited to ex-boyfriends, as she was married to Elliott Gould from 1963 until their divorce in 1971. She later tied the knot with her current husband, James Brolin, in 1998.

Insight into Relationships with Exes

Despite King’s persistent questioning about her exes, Streisand admitted to having had a “good time” with the men in her life.

Her marriage to Elliott Gould resulted in her only child, Jason Gould, who pursued a career in singing. After her separation from Gould, Streisand had a brief relationship with Pierre Trudeau and later with Ryan O’Neal.

Intriguing Ties with Hollywood Icons

Streisand’s memoir also reveals her infatuation with Robert Redford during the filming of “The Way We Were” (1973), though she claimed they were never officially together.

Following this, she shared nearly a decade with celebrity hairstylist Jon Peters, who played a role in her career, particularly her 1976 remake of “A Star Is Born.”

Continued Romantic Journey

Barbra Streisand’s romantic journey didn’t end there. She went on to have a multi-year relationship with the heir to the Baskin-Robbins ice cream empire.

Her dating history also includes Nash Bridges star Don Johnson and a noteworthy relationship with tennis superstar Andre Agassi, despite their significant age difference.

Finding Love and Stability

Ultimately, Streisand found lasting love with James Brolin, whom she met in 1996. They married two years later and have remained happily married ever since.

Barbra became a stepmother to James’ children from his previous marriages, including actor Josh Brolin. Her memoir offers a comprehensive look at her tumultuous and star-studded romantic journey in the world of entertainment.
