US-based venture capital firm Alumni Ventures has officially expanded its global footprint with the launch of its first European office in London.
The move marks a significant milestone for the firm as it continues to scale its investment activity beyond the United States into key international markets.
Alongside the opening, the firm has also completed regulatory onboarding for its new UK affiliate, positioning itself to operate more directly within the British and wider European investment landscape.
Launch of New Global Alumni Syndicate in the UK
As part of its London expansion, Alumni Ventures has introduced AV UK’s Global Alumni Syndicate, a private investment community aimed at qualified investors with international backgrounds.
The initiative is designed for individuals who have studied, lived, or worked across multiple countries and are interested in gaining structured access to venture capital opportunities.
The syndicate focuses on connecting members with startups and growth-stage companies that are built with global scalability in mind.
It is positioned as a cross-border investment network that brings together people with shared international experiences and investment interests.
A Cross-Border Network of Investors and Professionals
The new community is expected to include a wide mix of participants, ranging from university alumni networks and multinational employees to expatriates, diaspora professionals, and globally mobile investors.
Members will be offered curated deal flow, market insights, and networking opportunities with others who are active or interested in early-stage and growth-stage venture investing.
The goal, according to the firm, is to create a connected ecosystem where global professionals can share knowledge and access investment opportunities aligned with international innovation trends.
Transatlantic Programming and Leadership Collaboration
Alumni Ventures plans to support the syndicate through a blend of in-person and virtual programming delivered across both sides of the Atlantic.
This includes initiatives designed to strengthen engagement between investors and founders in different regions.
Leadership for the programme will be shared between teams in New York and London, with both offices collaborating to develop community engagement and investment activities that reflect the firm’s global outlook.
Strong Track Record in Venture Capital Growth
Founded in 2014, Alumni Ventures is led by Mike Collins, its Founder and Chief Executive Officer. The firm has built a substantial investment platform with more than $1.4 billion in capital raised from over 11,000 accredited investors.
Its portfolio spans more than 1,600 companies across a wide range of industries and development stages, reflecting a diversified global investment strategy.
Expanding UK and EMEA Investment Presence
The firm’s entry into London builds on an already active presence in the UK and broader EMEA region.
Alumni Ventures has supported several companies in the area, including PolyAI, Recursive SuperIntelligence, 44.01 Earth, Supercritical, SurrealDB, The Bland Company, and Enough Energy.
Its wider regional portfolio also includes internationally recognized names such as Oura Ring and Yassir, underscoring its continued focus on high-growth, innovation-driven businesses across global markets.
