After months of anticipation, Liverpool FC fans finally have something to cheer about beyond the pitch—new kits are here, and they mark the start of an exciting new era.
The club has officially reunited with adidas for the first time in over a decade, and they’ve dropped fresh home and away kits for the 2025–26 season in style.
adidas Returns After 13-Year Gap
Back in March, Liverpool announced they were switching back to adidas, bringing an end to their partnership with Nike.
Now that Nike’s deal expired at the end of July, the Reds are stepping into the new season dressed head-to-toe in adidas once again—a move reportedly worth at least £60 million per year.
This is the first time since 2012 that Liverpool will wear the iconic three stripes, and the fans’ nostalgia is already kicking in.
A Star-Studded Launch With a Whimsical Twist
The reveal wasn’t just about new fabric—it was a full-blown production.
Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Liverpool rolled out a visually striking campaign that featured current stars like Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Ceri Holland, and Curtis Jones. But it didn’t stop there.
Some of the club’s biggest legends—Sir Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, John Barnes, Robbie Fowler, and Jamie Carragher—also got in on the action.
The blend of past and present brought a warm, almost fairytale-like touch to the unveiling.
The Look of the New Season
The home kit keeps things classic with an all-red design, accented by clean white adidas stripes on the sleeves and a modern, sleek crew neck collar.
It’s simple, sharp, and unmistakably Liverpool.
The away shirt nods to the club’s rich history, featuring an off-white base and bold black and red details.
One standout feature is the Liver Bird crest placed inside a shield—a design that takes cues from the original Main Stand at Anfield, built in 1906.
Both jerseys also carry the “97” emblem surrounded by the eternal flames on the back, paying tribute to the victims of the Hillsborough tragedy.
When and Where Fans Can See the Kits in Action
Liverpool will debut their new home kit during a pre-season doubleheader against Athletic Club at Anfield.
The away kit will make its first appearance on August 10 in the Community Shield clash against Crystal Palace.
The kits are available for purchase online and in physical stores.
Fans can choose between short-sleeve and long-sleeve options to show their support in style.
Honouring Diogo Jota With a Lasting Legacy
In a touching gesture, Liverpool confirmed that all profits from shirts printed with “Diogo J 20” will be donated to the LFC Foundation, the club’s official charity.
The late Diogo Jota, whose sudden passing rocked the football world, will be remembered through a grassroots football programme launched in his name.
Whether fans shop in-store, online, or through adidas outlets, their purchases will directly support this meaningful initiative.
More Than Just a Kit Launch
Liverpool’s chief commercial officer Ben Latty summed up the feeling around the club: this isn’t just a kit drop.
It’s the beginning of a decade-long partnership with adidas that promises to blend tradition with innovation.
“There’s been a huge sense of anticipation and excitement since we announced the partnership,” Latty said.
“This first collection sets the tone for seasons to come.”
