According to Belgian media, the vehicle lost control, veered off the road, and flipped onto its roof, landing between the motorway and an exit.

The BMW was carrying six people, including the 12-year-old boy, one of four children in the car.

The Loss: Boy Dies After Resuscitation Efforts

Tragically, the boy was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

Though resuscitated at the scene and rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward.

The other five occupants of the car suffered a range of injuries.
