11-year-old girl sexually molested near park

After an 11-year-old schoolgirl was sexually assaulted close to a park, police issued an urgent appeal.

Around 4.30 pm on Monday, a man approached the young girl as she was strolling through Stamshaw Park in Portsmouth and made lewd comments and inappropriate physical contact with her.

Hampshire Constabulary has now made a suspect’s images public in an effort to track him down.

The suspect, a black male aged 18 to 25, was described by police as having a thin physique and dark hair.

He was wearing black pants, a white t-shirt, and a black vest. He was also toting a little bag.

Specialized police personnel are providing assistance for the 11-year-old victim.

She was allegedly moving toward the Rudmore Roundabout in Portsmouth, Hampshire when the guy seized hold of her arm, according to the police.

He then made her feel uncomfortable and groped her inappropriately over her clothes, according to a Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman.

The female was able to escape him. He briefly pursued her before leaving when she arrived at Rudmore Roundabout and dialled 911.

Since this event was reported to us, we have been conducting inquiries. We now have these photographs of a guy who was in the area at the time and who we would want to talk with in relation to our inquiry.

Anyone with knowledge about the incident or who was in the vicinity at the time is urgently encouraged to come forward to assist the police with their investigation.

The cae may have dashcam video from passing automobiles in the vicinity about 4:30 pm on Monday, August 29, according to the force.

When the attack occurred, the girl was strolling through Stamshaw Park in Portsmouth.
