As many as 632,382 Ukrainian citizens have entered Romania since the conflict began in the neighbouring country, reported Romania’s national news agency Agerpres.
According to the General Inspectorate of the Border Police (IGPF), on Tuesday, 7,524 Ukrainians fled to Romania, increased by 4.6 per cent from the previous day.
Some 4,305 of them have entered from the Ukrainian border, while 1,593 entered from the border with Moldova.
According to United Nations (UN) estimates, at least 1,480 civilians have been killed and 2,195 injured in Ukraine since Russia launched its military operation on Feb 24, with the true figure feared to be far higher.
More than 4.24 million Ukrainians have fled to other countries, while over 7.1 million more are internally displaced, according to the UN refugee agency.
