Spousal Dispute Turns Violent
A woman in Rivers State, Hope Nwala, has been arrested by the Rivers State Police Command following allegations that she bathed her husband, Ekelediri Nwankwo, with scalding groundnut oil during a domestic disagreement in Okehi, Etche Local Government Area.

According to the spokesperson for the state Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, the alleged incident occurred after the husband had retired to sleep later that same day.
The wife, Hope Nwala, reportedly committed the crime, leading to an ongoing investigation.

Iringe-Koko confirmed that the woman was arrested by police operatives who had been in pursuit after she fled upon realizing the gravity of her actions.
She is currently in police custody and will undergo interrogation as part of the ongoing investigation.
