Will Smith Wins First BAFTA Award

Will Smith has earned his first ever British Academy of Film & Television Arts Award (BAFTA) for his role in the biopic, ‘King Richard’.
King Richard is a biopic about tennis coach and father to Tennis stars Serena and Venus Williams.

Will Smith beat four other actors including Adeel Akhtar, Mahershala Ali, Benedict Cumberbatch, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Stephen Graham to scoop the award for the Leading Actor category.

The movie stars Will Smith in the lead role, with Aunjanue Ellis, Saniyya Sidney, Demi Singleton, Tony Goldwyn, among others.
