Police in Mpumalanga Seek Assistance in Secunda Murder Case
The police in Mpumalanga are seeking the assistance of Velly Vincent Mcunu, a person of interest, in connection with a murder case in Secunda.
Details of the Murder in Secunda
The victim, identified as 39-year-old Busisiwe Precious Mkhabela, was brutally murdered with multiple stab wounds to her upper body.
The incident occurred in Secunda on January 2, 2024.
The police believe that Mcunu could play a crucial role in helping solve the case.
Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, the provincial spokesperson, provided details of the crime.
The victim’s lifeless body was discovered at her residence’s gate around 16:30 on the fateful day.
Paramedics, along with the police and Emergency Services Personnel, pronounced her dead at the scene.
Police Speculations and Investigation
The police speculate that the victim shared her residence with a male partner and her cousin.
The cousin, reportedly absent during the ordeal, arrived shortly after the incident.
However, the male companion has been missing since the murder.
Brigadier Mohlala expressed the police’s belief that Mcunu, a key figure in the investigation, might be in Secunda or nearby areas.
The police appeal to Mcunu to report to the nearest police station.
