In a remarkable display of generosity and community spirit, Concert for Change has raised more than N200 million to support orphanages and organisations that care for children with disabilities across Nigeria.

The announcement was made by Wale Adenuga, the initiative’s convener, during a cheque presentation to five of the 2025 Green Worship concert beneficiaries.

Five Charities Receive Life-Changing Support

During the presentation, each charity received N11 million, giving them resources to expand their programs and meet urgent needs.

The beneficiaries included:

• Comrade David Ofoeyeno School for Special Children in Warri

• Marvellous Foundation Orphans Care Centre in Minna

• Super Parent Foundation in Lagos

• Hope Orphanage in Akure

• Learning Disabilities Society of Nigeria in Uyo

Adenuga emphasised that the initiative goes beyond handing out money.

“This is about partnership, accountability, and commitment to improving lives,” he said.

By requiring beneficiaries to sign commitment forms and linking disbursement to measurable milestones, the programme ensures funds are used effectively.

Funding Addresses Immediate and Long-Term Needs

The impact of the donations is already visible.

For instance, Super Parent Foundation is using its funds to purchase assistive devices for children with mobility challenges, while another organisation is acquiring a school bus to improve access to education.

For many of these charities, this represents the largest single funding they have ever received, a lifeline that will sustain and expand their work.

Over the years, the initiative has supported 49 organisations nationwide, demonstrating the ongoing commitment to this vulnerable segment of society.
