Video footage shows shocking murder in Johannesburg

We are aware that South Africa is a violent nation. The high crime rates continue to be a stain on the country, despite its stunning natural surroundings and beautiful people. And then we get this, just when you think you’ve seen it all. A man was captured in Johannesburg stabbing his victim to death as he was clinging to a child.

This video’s sheer craziness almost defies explanation. It is incomprehensible how someone could behave so carelessly in front of a small child. This parent casually pulls out a knife, stabs his victim, and then flees in broad daylight.

Police are currently investigating into the situation. According to what we hear, the offender has been arrested after being captured earlier on Wednesday by law authorities.

The audacity of this act has sparked a number of questions.

On social media, the video has gone viral, leaving many viewers reeling from what they had just seen. We are presently awaiting more information from Joburg SAPS, and the man they currently have in custody will soon be heard in court.

Yusuf Abramjee, a criminal justice reform activist, confirmed the victim’s death on Wednesday. The two men who engaged in the altercation are thought to be foreigners. A life was taken in the span of an instant, as evidenced by the store’s CCTV footage.
