Thanks to their victories over UP-Tuks and Wits, respectively, Shimlas and UCT Ikeys have booked their spots in the semi-finals of this year’s tournament.
Shimlas held onto their top spot thanks to a 26-15 win in Bloemfontein over UP-Tuks, while UCT Ikeys beat Wits 47-23 in Johannesburg.
Maties all-but clinched their playoff berth thanks to a dominant 61-21 win at the Danie Craven Stadium over Madibaz.
The fourth and final semi-final spot will be decided in next Monday’s final round of matches.
In other results on Monday, UJ beat UWC 50-28 and NWU Eagles were too strong for winless CUT, triumphing 33-14.
