Multiple school children have been injured in an accident on Sarnia Road

An accident on Sarnia Road near the M7 bridge just after 07h30 on Friday morning injured multiple school pupils.

A cab carrying many school children and a light delivery vehicle collided at the Junction, according to ALS Paramedics Medical Services. Multiple youngsters had incurred various injuries, prompting the summoning of additional ambulances. A total of seven people were injured, with minor to major injuries, and were stabilized on the scene before being transferred to a nearby Durban hospital for further treatment.

The events leading up to the collision are unknown at this time, but SAPS were on the scene and will continue their investigation.
