Tyson Fury and his family move to the Isle of Man after Rachel Reeves implements new UK tax measures

Boxing superstar Tyson Fury and his wife Paris have made a major move, leaving their Lancashire home behind and settling on the Isle of Man.

The couple, who share seven children, are now living in a sprawling six-bedroom £8million property near Douglas, the island’s capital.

The relocation comes shortly after Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ controversial tax-hiking budget, which introduced a mansion tax on properties worth over £2million.

Tax Incentives Make the Move Appealing

For high earners like Fury, the Isle of Man offers a much more favorable tax landscape.

While the UK’s higher income tax rate stands at 40 per cent—and even hits 45 per cent for those earning above £125,140—the Isle of Man caps personal income tax at £220,000 per year.

Crucially, there is no capital gains or inheritance tax, a significant advantage for Fury given his reported £160million fortune.

Residency Confirmed Through Official Channels

The boxing champion’s move was made public after he updated his residency on Companies House records.

Local residents have already spotted the Fury family around Douglas, reportedly indulging in simple pleasures like a £60 feast of jacket potatoes at Terry’s Tatos.

A source revealed: “Tyson has been telling friends he’s looking forward to making the Isle of Man his home.

The couple are also checking out local schools for their youngest children.”

Meeting the Residency Rules

Gaining tax residency on the island isn’t just a casual decision.

According to a 2024 report by wealth management company Equiom, individuals must spend at least six months on the Isle of Man in a single tax year—or an average of 90 days per year over four consecutive years—to qualify.

Fury’s move places him among other high-profile Britons who have relocated in recent years, including boxer Amir Khan and footballer Rio Ferdinand, both of whom now live in Dubai.

Retirement Yet Rumors of a Comeback

Earlier this year, Fury announced his fifth retirement from boxing.

However, speculation about a potential return continues to swirl, especially with the prospect of a major showdown on the horizon.

Following his recent win against YouTuber Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua has publicly expressed interest in fighting Fury in 2026 as part of Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia.

Joshua commented: “If Tyson Fury’s serious, let’s see him step into the ring. Stop talking on Twitter and fight with your fists.”

Life in the Isle of Man Begins

For now, Fury and his family are settling into island life, enjoying a quieter pace away from the mainland while taking advantage of the favorable tax environment.

Between exploring local schools and getting to know Douglas, it seems the Furies are ready to embrace their new home—and perhaps prepare for whatever the boxing world has next.
